If you sketch, label all dimensions and include the placement of house, walls, doors et. Don't forget to include the main walls and the direction for the planking. Please make your drawing and notes as clear as possible. This will enable us to provide you with accurate plans, drawings and materials list for your new deck.

Start by drawing the main deck area. Be sure to include the following:

• All dimensions of the outside edges of the deck.
• Where the deck is attached to the house.
• Show location of the doors and label measurements on main wall.
• Show location of desired stairs and label widths. If your deck is more than one level, be sure to include the following for each level:
• Show where the new level attaches to the main or other level.
• All dimensions of the outside edge of the new level.
• The number of steps up or down to the new level. If the deck will have an opening for trees or planters, note the following:
  • Size of opening (width & length)
  • Location on the deck level. ( it cannot be closer than 48" to the edge of any level or structure)
